Sarah was born in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts.1   Sarah's father was Ralph Farnum and her mother was Alice Farnum.  Her paternal grandparents are Robert Farnum and Elizabeth. She had four brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Ralph, Ephraim and Mary.  She died in 1728 in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts.2
