James was born on April 12th, 1760 in Massachusetts.1   James' father was Isaac Hemingway and his mother is Elizabeth Haven.  His paternal grandparents are Joshua Hemingway and Abigail Morse.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 62 on July 15th, 1822 in Mahoning, Ohio.2
