Robert's father was Edward Gilman and his mother is Rose Snell.  His paternal grandfather is Edward Gilman; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Ryse and his maternal grandmother is Anna. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Edward, John, Lawrence, Margaret, Katharine, Elizabeth, Rose, Jone and Olive.  He died on March 2nd, 1631 in Caston, Norfolk, England.  He was buried on March 6th, 1631 in Caston, Norfolk, England.1 2
