Ruth was born in 1930 in Golub-Dobrzyn, Poland.1   Ruth's father was Zalman Leib (Solly?) Pieniek and her mother was Sally (Dora?).  Her paternal grandparents were Toyvia Wolfe  Pieniek and Shaina Czarna. She had two sisters named Myriam and Naomi.  Ruth and Naomi were twins.  She died in the Holocaust in Treblinka.2
