¹ Simcha Bunem's father is Yitzchak Aaron Orenstein and his mother was Sura Zlata Pieniek. His paternal grandparents are Yakov Orenstein and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Yankiel David, Avram Mendel, Chaim Eliezer, Yechiel Meir, Moszek Pinkus , Freda Yocheved (Chjevet), Bejla and Estera Malka.
