Sonia was born in 1905 in Kowel, Poland.1   Sonia's father is Yakov Mandelbaum and her mother was Chaya Pina Levi.  Her maternal grandparents are Shefa Levi and Faiga. She had a brother named Aryeh.  She died in the Holocaust at the age of 37 in 1942 in Kowel, Poland.
