Margaret, known as Peggy, was born about 1907.  Peggy's father was Bernard  John Welch (Ship Painter) and her mother was Ellen Elizabeth York.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Welch (Ship Builder) and Susannah Collins; her maternal grandparents were John Henry York and Ester Sophia Carter. She had a brother named James.
