Christian was born on August 9th, 1717.  Christian's father was Simon Theus and his mother was Anna Walser or Wolser. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Jeremiah, Jorg or Jurg Simeon, Jorg or Jurg, Margaretha and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 74 in 1791 in Saxe Gotha, Sc..
