Abraham was born on May 14th, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY.  Abraham's father was Irving Shames and his mother was Ida Tucker.  His paternal grandparents were Wolf Schames and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Yehuda Moishe Tucker and Blume Bakst. He had a brother named Bill.  He was the older of the two children.  He died from a heart attack at the age of 85 on October 16th, 2005 in Longboat Key, Manatee, Florida.  He was buried in Sarasota, FL.
