Leila was born on June 7th, 1868 in Fairfield, Freestone Co., Tx..  Leila's father was Lucien Green Sandifer and her mother was Nancy (Binney) Warren Strain.  Her paternal grandparents were L. G. Sandifer and Unknown. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Bennie, Lucien Green, Mary and Katie.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 83 on June 11th, 1951.  She was buried in Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield, Freestone Co., Tx..




Leila's family

Leila and Eugene Bonner were married in a religious ceremony on December 16th, 1888 in Freestone Co., Tx..  They had three sons and three daughters, named Edward Lucian, Reuben Eugene, Willie Clarence, Annie Binnie, Mary Sandifer and Leila Warren.
