Ann was born on February 2nd, 1737 in Oulton, Staffordshire, England.  Ann's father was Thomas BOX and her mother was Anna PADMORE.  Her paternal grandparents were John BOX and Jane DOD.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Gulielmus, William, George, Maria, Jane and Elizabeth.  She was the seventh oldest of the nine children.
