Franklin Monroe HOOD

Franklin Monroe was born on October 15th, 1856. Franklin Monroe's father was William P. HOOD and his mother was Unissa Margie BROTHERS. His paternal grandparents were Ausborn I HOOD and Elizabeth QUINN?. He had a half-sister named Gertrude. He died at the age of 84 on January 17th, 1941.

  Delores Young to CMB 6/06:
  The E.M. (Manerva Emaline is actually her name) Hood is Franklin Monroe's
  wife and my great grandmother. She was one-half Indian. Her maiden
  name was Pruett. Her parents are buried in Helfin also. My older sister
  was 10 or 11 when "M" (as she was called) died. She smoked a pipe every night. When Franklin M. died, she said she was going to bed to die. She did die 4 days later. (The birthdates on their headstones are wrong. F. M. was born October 15, 1856 and died January 17, 1941. E.M. December 10, 1864 and
  died January 21, 1941.) There is an story on one of Franklin M.'s children,
  Mollie, in "Warrior Mountain Folklore" by Ricky Butch Walker. She is listed
  as 1/4 Indian.
