    U.S. Department of Labor Naturalization Service, Petition for Naturalization, No. 23311.  The Honorable the District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania:  The petition of William Bulkin, hereby filed, respectfully showeth:  First.  My place of residence is 508 Reed St., Philadelphia, Pa.  Second.  My occupation is Insurance Salesman.  Third.  I was born on the 20 day of Feb, anno Domini 1888 at Perayslow [sic] Russia.  Fourth.  I emigrated to the United States from Glasgow Scotland on or about the 16 day of June, anno Domini 1907 and arrived in the United States at the port of New York, on the 24 day of June, anno Domini 1907 on the vessel Columbia.  Fifth, I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on the 17 day of Feb, anno Domini 1914, at Phila in the District court of United States.  Sixth.  I am married.  My wife's name is Sophie (27 yrs).  She was born in Russia and now resides at 508 Reed St., Pennsylvania [sic].  I have 3 children, and the name, date and place of birth, and place of residence of each of said children is as follows:  Bessie Dec 28 1911, Bennie July 13 1914, Anna March 8 1916, [bracket connecting all three names] Phila, live with me.  [etc.] (signed) William Bulkin, Declaration of Intention No. 23135 and Certificate of Arrival No. 2770 from Department of Labor filed this 20 day of Dec 1916.  Witnesses:  Sam Aronsky, occupation Shoe Salesman, residing at 404 South St, Philadelphia, Pa. and Harry Volinsky, occupation Milk dealer, residing at 615 Bawhidge(?)     U.S. Department of Labor Naturalization Service, Declaration of Intention, No. 23135, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  I, William Bulkin, aged 25 years, occupation Manufacturer, do declare on oath that my personal description is:  Color white, complexion dark, height 5 feet 6 inches, weight 154 pounds, color of hair dk brown, color of eyes brown, other visible distinctive marks none.  I was born in Perayslaw [sic], Russia on the 20th day of February, anno Domini 1888.  I now reside at 235 Washington Ave, Philadelphia, Pa.  I emigrated to the United States of America from Glasgow, Scotland on the vessel Columbia; my last foreign residence was Perayslaw, Russia.  It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to Nicholas II, Emperor of all the Russias, of whom I am now a subject.  I arrived at the port of New York, in the State of NY, on or about the 24th day of June, anno Domini 1907; I am not an anarchist [etc.].  (signed) William Bulkin, 17 February 1914.
