Hans Huber

Hans was born about 1590 in Zurich, Switzerland. Hans' father was Jacob Huber and his mother was Barbara Ringger. His paternal grandparents were Conrad Huber and ??? ???; his maternal grandparents were Hans Ringger and Ursula Ryff. He was an only child. He died about 1650 in Zurich, Switzerland.

General Notes
- # Note: Hans Huber, was Deputy Sheriff of Oberkulm. There he was granted a fief by Lord Hans Friederich von Hallwyl. The rebellious Hans Huber joined a confederacy of Swiss Freemen refusing to recognise Austrian authority. Branded an outlaw by representatives of the Arch Duke of Austria, he was subsequently executed. Hens Huber descended from Bertoldus Hubere born about 1185. Who was a citizen of Bern Switzerland a minor landed Knight or Baron and was originally from Burgundy France.
  
  Hans, deputy sheriff of Oberkulm, granted fief there by Lord Hans Frederick van Hallwyl. For those who are interested in heraldry, there is a document in the state archives in Bern, Switzerland, dated 12-6-1621, to which
  is attached armorial insignia of Hans Hubere-a millwheel on a shield, black on silver.
  Hans Huber was descendant of Burchard dictus Hubere, who aquired a fief is 1268 in the valley of Wyna River, Oberkulm, from Sir Judwig van Liebegg. Burchard was son of Bertoldus Hubere, who was b. about 1185 and who probably emigrated from Burgundy
  when French King Philip Augustus seized the land of property owners and barons. Bertoldus had at least three sons: Nicholas, b. about 1218, consul of Bern, 1253-1259; Jacob, b. about 1230; and Burchard, b. about 1222.
