Andrew's father was Robert Gordon and his mother was Rachel Gordon.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Gordon and Ann ????; his maternal grandparents were James [1858-HillHead,Plot 38] Gordon and Mary Burnside. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Robert John, Thomas, William, Joseph, Samuel, Isaac, Leonard and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 17 on February 18th, 1883.
