  My notes show 12 July 1868 as Date of Birth in 1st Dunboe, but 16 July 1867 in General Registry Office!

Samuel's father was Robert McClamont and his mother was Martha Nichol. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, Robert, James, William and Esther.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
