Death Notes
This one must have died in infancy because another Margaret is recorded in Macosquin Presbyterian Church records as being born to the same couple in 1869. Death certificate found in Family History Centre, Derry, for a Margaret Ann Gray, died 21st April 1869, aged 9 weeks, Seamstress' daughter, Bronchitis for 2 weeks, Susan Robinson Present at Death. Not sure if this is her because of the strange PAD, the wrong townland and the age of 9 weeks instead of 9 months.
General Notes
Source: Barbara Braswell using Civil Records. There IS a Margaret born 15 July 1868 in Cullyvennie to James Gray and Eliza Jane Brown. But there is NO entry for a Margaret Gray in 1869! The Death entry for 1869 Margaret Gray definitely says 9 weeks NOT 9 months. Along with the wrong PAD and townland, this seems to suggest she is NOT my Margaret Gray, but there is no other death so, if there is another Margaret Gray born in 1869, there must be a death for the 1868 Margaret. There is no other death entry for a Margaret Gray in either 1869 or 1870. This all casts doubt on there ever being a second Margaret and suggests that Margaret Two's birth in Macosquin Presbyterian Church records is in fact Margaret One's baptism! However, if this is true, I am missing a child for James and EJB if the 1911 census is to be believed.
