Source: BB using 1850 US census, where he is living with his parents, Joseph and Susannah, in Philadelphia.
Also, BB says, "BOTH William Creelman AND Hugh Creelman are living in the same area in Philly as Charles Gray. AND Hugh Creelman has living with him a Mary Brewster- age 30. This is the 1850 Census now - I went back to it. So Mary must be Ann's sister and she is living with them but later moves in with Charles Brewster, her
brother, in Iowa....at some point."
BG says (040707), "There has to be some connection between the Grays of Coole Glebe perhaps (cause that is where Jo and Sue were from according to their daughter' Anne's marriage entry), the Brewsters of Glenleary, (cause that's where Ann was from according to her marriage record) and the Creelmans of Camus (cause that is where Hugh's marriage record says he was from). This could be a familial connection. Or it might simply be the fact that first, they were all from the same wee area in Co Derry and emigrated together and second, they were all Seceders. I do not know for defo if they were all Seceders but Anne and Hugh were married in Ballylaggin, which is a Seceder church and my own Brewsters were Seceders and the graveyard at Dromore Seceder church is heaving with Creelmans. It is also worth noting that I think the original home of my Grays is Camus, cause that is where the most Grays live."
BB: The following were baptisms for the children of Charles and Sarah Gray in 1st Reformed Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia:
1. Joseph C Gray bap May 5 1845
2. Sarah Jane Gray bap May 5 1845
3. Charles Gray bap June 6 1847
4. Hannah Gray bap June 2d 1849 (probably Susannah on the tree)
5. Mary Jane Gray bap June 2d 1849
6. Mary Ann Gray bap July 4 1852 (b. Jan 10 1852)
7. Matilda Gray bap July 4 1852 - no parents given
8. Emily Gray bap Nov 2 1856
9. Margaret Gray bap Apr 6 1861 (b Aug? 7 1860)
I also have found 2 stillborn deaths which may belong to this couple in 1840 and Dec 1845 (BG - 1840 cannot be correct as Charles and Sarah only immigrated in 1844). The Dec 1845 record only states the father as Chas Gray. Sarah Gray states in the 1900 Census that she had 10 children and 5 were then living. There was also an Isabella Gray bap Jan 2 1842 in this church who may be the first child of this couple. (BG - not correct as they only immigrated in 1844.) I don't have her above.
The interesting note here is that Joseph's middle name starts with a C which leads me to believe Sarah may have been a Crowe or a Creelman. Since she is attending the same church as Nancy Creelman Brewster she may be her older sister. However, the Crowes also belong to this Church.
Some of these children do not have parents recorded and at a later date someone has gone through and added a few parents and corrected some spelling of names! This was the only Gray family with recorded baptisms at this date. There is an earlier Gray family having children baptized in the 1820s which may prove helpful later.

1870 Census
The wrong image is attached to his name on A.com but on Familysearch it shows his family in the 2nd enumeration next door to the Crowes who are housing Susanna Brewster Gray. There is no occupation, or other data other than name and age and address. According to the 1870 PCD, however, Charles Gray is still a sawyer and his house is still 1003 Ward Street. Been there since 1866. Before that he lived at 1232 Catherine St.
