Date of Death from Civil Registration, Derry Family History Centre. Gives him as farmer from Lislea, Maria McKay Present at Death, died of cholera after 24 hours illness!!!!!!!!
General Notes
Given as father of Jane Gordon in 1st Kilrea Presbyterian Church marriage records.
A George Gordon holds Plot 7 in the Tithe Applotment Book of 1826 and paid 9 shillings in tithes. George is an unusual name so it may well be this man.
A George Gordon is the Head of Household in House 40 in the 1831 Census, where he lives in a household of 6 males and two females. George is an unusual Gordon name so it should be this man.
As the only George in Lislea at the time, he is probably the holder of Plot 37 in the Griffiths Valuation.
George and Jane had the following children: Thomas 1825, Stewart 1827, Archibald 1831, (another Archibald in 1833 but this one has the same DoB as the 1831 one so it may be an error), Sarah 1835, William John 1837, Catherine Anne 1839 and Maria 1841.
THis extensive tree is at A.com but, while it might give more info on some minor characters, I do not thnk it has anything new on the people closest to me (in fact, it has an error on the Gordon side:

It has George Gordon as a son of my Thomas Gordon not the one who married Jane Wilson.
