Eliza's father was Kennedy [Killeague] Boyd and her mother was Mary Hunter.  Her paternal grandparents were William [Collins] Boyd and Nancy Gage. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Margaret, Rachel, Nancy, Mary, Catherine and Fanny.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 57 in 1906.
