Jane was born on August 23rd, 1878.

  Date of Birth from Al Luce using Civil Records at General Registry Office, Belfast.

Jane's father was Thomas Bellingham and her mother was Rachel Georgina [Lisheegan] MacKay.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Bellingham and (Margaret or Mary) Jane McCart; her maternal grandparents were William [Monaghan] Mackey and Matilda [Bellaghbeddy] Boyd. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, William, Francis, John, Alexander, Francis, Matilda, Margaret, Elizabeth and Frances.  She was the oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 64 on May 19th, 1943 in Jersey City.

  Seems to be named Jane in the Bellingham register of births.  Not included in the 1901 census.
  
  EIR shows Essie Bellingham, aged 20, Jane Bellingham, Jane Bellingham, aged 17 and Unnamed ("Miss") Bellingham, aged 30, arriving in New York from Londonderry, on the Furnessia on 16th September 1895.  I assume this is this Jane, arriving with her cousin Hessie Bellingham.  Jane is given as a dressmaker, on her way to Ohio (yes, Ohio!), whereas Essie and the unnamed lady were on their way to NY and were servants.
  
  Oddly, she is also recorded in EIR entering New York the following year, aged 18:

  It may be a coincidence but an Annie Mulholland was travelling on the same ship to Boston aged, 36, along with another Annie Mulholland, aged 5 years and 6 months, presumably her daughter and Al Luce records Jane's Uncle John Bellingham's death as follows:
  his death notice suggests he may have been living with his "widowed daughter, Mrs. Emily Mulholland".
  
  Jane was living at 225 Ege Ave, Jersey City in June 1908 when my grandparents were married in her home.  My grandmother, her sister, Maggie Bellingham was living with Jane and her husband, Robert Porter, at the time.
  
  Living in Ege Avenue, Jersey City in the 1910 Census, aged 31, with her husband Robert J, aged 40 and her son, Robert M, aged 1 year 3 months.  She gives her name as Jane B Porter.

  Now that I know that her grandmother was called Matilda Boyd, does the B in her name stand for Boyd.  (Al thinks it more likely that the B in her name is for Bellingham - Jane Bellingham Porter.  In fact, that is what she is called in her burial record.)
  
  The marriage of my grandparents was performed at 225 Ege Ave, Jersey City, NJ, the home of Robert Porter and Jane Bellingham Porter, Jane was Margaret's sister.
