James Thomson & Isabell Robertson

James and Isabell were married in a religious ceremony on February 18th, 1745 in Uphall.¹ They had three sons and three daughters, named Archibald, James, Moruis, Elisabeth, Mary and Isobell.

    - Can find no record of a James Thomson, son of James Thomson and Margaret Aitken, being born around 1720s in Uphall.
      
      However, it seems likely that a son would be named after the father, and James Thomson and Margaret Aitken are buried in same grave as an Archibald Thomson who died in 1825.
      
      Witness John Thomson at Archibald's christening could be Archibald's uncle.

  Isabell is no longer alive.

  Archibald was born on February 1st, 1746 in Uphall and his baptism took place there on February 1st, 1746.² He died at the age of 79 on August 11th, 1825 in Clapperton Hall. He was buried.³
