  She died due to a medical problem, Convulsion Fits, at the age of 66 on November 22nd, 1851 in Paisley.⁴

    In 1851 census she is listed as Elizabeth Matthey, wife of James, born in Banff County, Elgin. I had assumed he had remarried after Euphan / Euphemia's death, but this must be her - she is listed as dying at 9 King Street later that year.
    
    Don't know why she listed Elgin.
