Euphan Cameron (Euphemia)

Euphan was born on October 31st, 1785 in Glasgow and her baptism took place there on October 31st, 1785.^1 2

Euphan's father was James Cameron and her mother was Sarah Morison.  Her maternal grandparents were Daniel Morison and Euphan Beatson. She had three brothers and a sister, named James, Archibald, John and Margaret.  She was the third oldest of the five children.  She died due to a medical problem, Convulsion Fits, at the age of 66 on November 22nd, 1851 in Paisley.  She was buried on November 22nd, 1851 in Paisley.^3 1

  • In 1851 census she is listed as Elizabeth Matthey, wife of James, born in Banff County, Elgin. I had assumed he had remarried after Euphan / Euphemia's death, but this must be her - she is listed as dying at 9 King Street later that year.
