Jeannie (Jane) Edward Laird 
Jeannie, known as Jane, was born in 1854 in Rutherglen.1 2 Jane's father was William Laird and her mother was Mary Edward. Her maternal grandparents were Robert Edward and Helen Drummond. She had a brother and six sisters, named William, Helen, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret, Robina and Catherine. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 30 in 1884 in Kelvin.- Death Notes
