Margaret was born on September 23rd, 1778 in St. Quivox and her baptism took place there on September 24th, 1778. Margaret's father was James Bone and her mother was Janet Duncan. She had a brother and three sisters, named David, Jane, Mary and Elisabeth.  She was the second youngest of the five children.
