Martha was born in 1860.  Martha's father was Henry Stewart BEGLEY and her mother was Elizabeth "Betty" DAVIDSON.  Her paternal grandparents were John  BEGLEY and Rebecca STEWART; her maternal grandparents were Tyre DAVIDSON and Sarah "Sally" MORRIS.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named Granville, Anderson, Elijah, Marion, William, Deliah, Sarah Ann and Mary.  She was the eighth oldest of the nine children.
