John Marshall Van Camp

John Marshall was born on November 4th, 1837 in Wetzel, VA. John Marshall's father was John Squire Van Camp and his mother was Margaret Martin. His paternal grandparents were Steven Van Camp and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 82 on December 30th, 1919 in Van Camp, Wetzel, VA.

  Source is pg. 10 of "Descendants of Steven Van Camp" by Shirley Shore of Philipsburg, PA which say he was severely wounded in the head 4 days bef. the end of the Civil War. He was taken to a field hospital in Casinova, VA and he always credited the surgeons there for having saved his life (Doc. #1740).
