John Jack was born about 1752. John Jack's father was Col Joseph Immigrant Martin Gent and his mother was Susannah Giles Childs>>?? Chiles. His paternal grandparents are William Martin and Ann Cade (POSS); his maternal grandfather is John Henry Chiles (Giles) and his maternal grandmother was Eleanor Webber. He had four brothers and nine sisters, named Brice, George, Joseph Longknife, William, Susannah Patience, Mary, Olive, Martha, Sarah, Nancy, Martin, unk and Martin. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Ann. He died on April 5th, 1823.
