Stephen was born on August 27th, 1767 in Halifax County, North Carolina, USA.  Stephen's father was David Marshall and his mother was Mary Davis.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had a sister named Lucy.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 63 on February 1st, 1831 in Putnam GA.
