John the younger   became Mayor of Exeter was born about 1570 in St. Mary Arches, Exeter, Devon, England.  John the younger   became Mayor of Exeter's father was Robert alias William of Ilminster Marshall and his mother was Joan Joanne Owsley Owseley.  His paternal grandparents were William Marshall and Mary Barnes (poss); his maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Edward, Nicholas, Robert, Roger, Thomas, Willam, John the Elder of Chillington and Anne.  He died before August 17th, 1624 in Exeter, Devon, England.
