James Marshall

James was born on January 10th, 1776 in VA. James' father was John Marshall and his mother was Margaret Carter. His paternal grandparents were William Marshall and Elizabeth "Betty" Williams; his maternal grandparents were John Carter Jr and Elizabeth Armisted. He had six brothers named Carter, William C prob Carter, John, Thomas, Benjamin and Horace. He was the fifth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 88 on August 15th, 1864 in Mecklenburg Co, VA.
