Elizabeth Rawlings was born on October 8th, 1785 in Little Cub Creek, Charlotte, Virginia.  Elizabeth Rawlings' father was Benjamin Wilkins Marshall and her mother was Sarah Pulliam.  Her paternal grandparents were John Wilkins Marshall Sr and Hannah Baldwin; her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John Henry, James Pulliam Pullam, Benjamin Wilkins, Thomas Rawlings, Presley, Hannah B, Sarah W and Catherine Wallace.  She is the second oldest of the nine children.
