Elizabeth was born in 1788.  Elizabeth's father was William Marshall and her mother was Mary C. Banes.  Her paternal grandparents were James Marshall and Jane Lindsey. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Jane "Creative Jane", James M., William, Phineas Paxton, John, Jane and Hester Lemen.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 83 on May 8th, 1871.
