Crawford "insane" Marshall

Crawford "insane" was born on May 15th, 1795. Crawford "insane"'s father was William Both are buried in the Cross Creek Cemetery Marshall and his mother was Ann Both are buried in the Cross Creek Cemetery Crawford. His paternal grandparents were William Marshall and Mary Speer; his maternal grandparents were Thomas taken by indians Crawford and Judith. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named William, Thomas the Venerable of Cross Creek, Stewart C, Elizabeth, Judith, Mary Polly "idiot", Margaret, Ann Jones, Ruth, Louisa and Barbara Jane. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 62 on June 17th, 1857 in Cross Creek Tp, Washington Co., PA. He was buried in Cross Creek, Pennsylvania.

- I have learned that "insane" sometimes meant that they married an Indian/Native or can be from families inbreeding too much
  different than "idiot"
