Jane was born about 1694 in Surry , VA.  Jane's father is George Jordan and her mother was Mary Brown.  Her paternal grandparents are Arthur Jordan and Elizabeth Bevin; her maternal grandfather was Col William Brown and her maternal grandmother is Mary Brown. She has seven brothers and two sisters, named George, Arthur, Thomas, James, River, Charles, Thomas, Mary and Elizabeth.  She is the nineth oldest of the ten children.
