Polly's father was Abraham Hill Jr and her mother was Christian Katherine Walton.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Hill group 11 R1b Hill and Judith Hunter; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Walton and Sarah. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named John A, Abraham, Henry, Theophilus, Noah, Miles, Wiley  Wylie, Thomas, Judith Judie, Clara, Sarah and Mary Pope.
