Joseph Thayendanegea, or "he places two bets." was born about March 1742.  Joseph Thayendanegea, or "he places two bets."'s father was PETER   Tehowaghwengaraghkwin Brant and his mother was Margaret Sahetagearat Onagsakearat , or Owandah.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Kajirowirago Brant (Mohawk Bear Clan) and Jacomine Tagwanagon; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Sahetagearat Onagsakearet and Marie Brant Saquainquartagon (Huron Wyandot). He had a sister named Mary Molly. He had a half-sister named Mary Degonwadonti (meaning "Several Against One").  He died on November 24th, 1807 in upper Canada.
