Gertrude of Saxony (Gertrude of Holland, Gertrud von Sachsen) 
Gertrude was born in 1028 in Schweinfurt, Unterfranken, Bavaria.1 Gertrude's father was Bernhard of Saxony II and her mother was Margravine Eilika of Schweinfurt. Her paternal grandparents were Bernhard Billung of Saxony I and Hildegarde von Stade; her maternal grandparents were Margrave Heinrich von Nordgau (Schweinfurt) I and Countess Gerberga von Kinziggau of Gleiberg. She had a brother and a sister, named Ordulph and Ida. She died at the age of 85 on August 4th, 1113.2 General Notes
