Ranulf of Moray (Ranulph)

Ranulf was born in 1120 in Moray, Scotland.¹ Ranulf's father was Dunegal of Moray and his mother was Alice de Meschines. His paternal grandparents were Duncan Moray and Octreda de Allerdale; his maternal grandparents were William de Meschines and Cecily de Rumilly. He had three brothers and a sister, named Duncan, Gillepatrick, Donald and Amabilis. He was the oldest of the five children. He had two half-sisters named Cicily and Amabilis. He died at the age of 45 in 1165.¹
