Leontia was born in 0457.1   Leontia's father was Leo of Byzantium I and her mother was Verina Flavia of Byzantine Empire.  Her maternal grandparents were Flavius of Byzantine Empire and <Unknown>. She had a brother and two sisters, named Leo, Ariadne and Leontix.  She was the second youngest of the four children.
