Constable of Scotland Richard de Morville 
Richard was born in 1143 in Burgh-by-Sands, Cumberland, England.1 Richard's father was Constable of Scotland Hugh de Morville and his mother was Beatrice de Beauchamp. His paternal grandparents were Lord of Kirk Oswald Hugh de Morville and Eustacie; his maternal grandparents were Peganus (Payne) de Beauchamp and <Unknown>. He had a brother and three sisters, named Hugh, Maud, Ada and Joan. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 46 in 1189 in Dryburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland.2 General Notes
