Walter was born in 1210 in Besford, Worcestershire, England.1   Walter's father was Vivian de Besford and his mother was Elizabeth de Nafford.  His paternal grandparents were Osbert de Besford and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Walter de Nafford and <Unknown>.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 57 on January 12th, 1267.1
