John WALLINGFORD 
John was born in 1780 in Berkeley, Virginia.1 John's father was Nicholas WALLINGFORD and his mother was Alice HAYES. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Wallingford and Prudence ELLIOT. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, James, William Mark, Mark B., Samuel, Benjamin, Prudence, Mary Chloe, Nancy, Sarah, Elizabeth and Phoebe. He was the oldest of the thirteen children. He had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Hiram, Alexander, Lewis Bean, Alexander M., Thomas Ginn, Mary Guinn, Julianna Beauty, Sophronia J. and Martha A. E.. He died at the age of 53 on August 3rd, 1833 in Mt. Gilead, Mason Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
