James Madison Staten 
James was born on February 8th, 1815 in Clark County, Indiana.1 James' father was James M.? Staten and his mother was Mary Polly Herrington. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, William, Joseph, A.J., Newton, America, Mary, Martha, Matilda and Sally. He died at the age of 84 on February 18th, 1899 in Bates County, Missouri.1
