Louisa Skaggs 
Louisa was born about 1822. Louisa's father was William (Squire) Skaggs and her mother was Mary (Polly) Pierce. Her paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Mary. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Bustle, Fielding, Jeremiah, Stephen, Henry, Rachel, Libby and Eliza. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She had three half-sisters named Elizabeth, Polly and Nancy.-
