Humphrey Savage 
Humphrey was born in 1465 in Clifton, Cheshire, England.1 Humphrey's father was John Savage and his mother was Catherine Stanley. His paternal grandparents were John Savage and Elizabeth Brereton; his maternal grandparents were Sir Thomas Stanley and Joan Goushill. He had ten brothers and six sisters, named Lawrence, John, Robert, James, Thomas, Richard, William, George, Christopher, Edward, Eleanor, Margaret, Elizabeth, Savage, Alice and Katherine. He was the sixth youngest of the seventeen children.-
