John Stewart NORMAN 
John Stewart was born in 1816 in Culpeper Co., VA.. John Stewart's father was Thomas NORMAN Esq. and his mother was Frances STEWART. His paternal grandparents were Joseph T. Norman and Sarah EVERETT. He had a brother and three sisters, named Joseph Thomas, Sarah Martha Wallace, Jane Catherine and Lavinia Lewis. He was the oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named Gabriel Yancey, Jefferson, Mildred Tutt, Lucy Latham, Kesiah, Frances T., Ann (Nancy), Elizabeth, Mary Layton, Myra H. C. and Georgianna. He died at the age of 61 in 1877 in Beaufort, Carteret Co., N.C.. He was buried in Norman Family (Fairfield) Cem., Stevensburg ?, Culpeper Co., VA..General Notes

Per Thomas Norman's will dated 1838: I give to my son John S. Norman, the tract of land I hold on the South side of Stevensburg. Which I purchased of Reuben Zimmerman heirs and other, containing 6 or 7 hundred acres, also my right to the tanyard and lots of land formerly Lewis. Also the lots purchased of Tibb & Co. also negro man, Billy the tanner, also Rose, daughter of Mereche. also my cherry desk and walnut desk and bookcase and 1/2 of all my books.
