Bessie Lee Mauney 
Bessie Lee was born on December 27th, 1894 in Gaston Co, NC. Bessie Lee's father was Jefferson Jackson Mauney and her mother was Georgeanna Roberts. Her maternal grandparents were John Elgin Roberts and Mary Jane Ware. She had a brother and three sisters, named John Melton, Cora Eva Mae, Mary Emma and Junnie Florence. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 72 on August 30th, 1967 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co, NC. She was buried on September 1st, 1967 in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery, Crouse, Lincoln Co, NC.General Notes
