Domangart Mac Aedan 
Domangart was born in 0552 in Dalriada, Argyll, Scotland.1 Domangart's father was Aedan of Dalriada and his mother was Domelch of the Picts. His paternal grandparents were King Gabhran of Dalriada and verch Dumnagual. He had nine brothers and a sister, named Eochu, Eochaid, Arthur, Dongardius, Tuatrhal, Bran, Conaing, Gartnait, Baithene and Maithgemm. He died due to Battle at the age of 44 in 0596 in Saxonia, Northumbria, Britain.1 General Notes
Domangart may have been a grandson rather than a son of Áedán, most likely another son of Conaing. The main line of Cenél nGabráin kings were the descendants of Eochaid Buide through his son Domnall Brecc, but the descendants of Conaing successfully contested for the throne throughout the 7th century and into the 8th.
